Exit Riddickulous

Three years ago I pulled a group of friends together with the intention of creating and growing a powerful network of podcasters and streamers. Now that the Nerdy Knights have grown in such a wonderful way I have discovered that it has outgrown me in the forefront. With Mike DeMarco and Sam Chen now living together they have a powerful new ability to create some really amazing content. Because of this, it has become aware to me that the Nerdy Knights should adhere to a certain standard of high quality work. The kind of standard that can only be achieved by people living in very close proximity.

The goal of the Nerdy Knights will remain the same. The scheduled shows will not be taking any huge turn. Business will be going on as usual. I will still be finishing Final Fantasy VII with Mike and his Let's Play Podcast. And you may even continue to see some written things from me, but the torch has been passed to two very good friends. Friend who will nurture and grow the Nerdy Knights in a very great way and we may very well end up joining forces again in the future.

Now do not confuse me leaving the Nerdy Knights as me stopping all content creation. There are still some great things coming and you can learn all about it by following me on Twitter. I'll still be an ardent defender of the realm of the Nerdy Knights. And, while it may be dangerous to go alone, I will be backed up with the knowledge of how well the rest of this team will do at making the Nerdy Knights great again!

Thank you all for the love. The laughs. And everything that you have done to support and back me up. I love you guys. And who knows, you may see me somewhere very awesome, very soon. ;)

Marvel Civil War: Movie vs Comic

Marvel Civil War: Movie vs Comic

Captain America: Civil War has been getting lots of well deserved praise, including in our own review written by Mike DeMarco. We even spend an hour talking about how amazing it was on our Spoilercast. But the real question that we are left with is how does the movie compare to its source material? Marvel's first "Civil War" event.

Oh... By the... Spoilers for the movie ahead. In case you clicked on this thinking I would somehow avoid spoilers...

How to Celebrate May the 4th

How to Celebrate May the 4th

May is the best month ever. Free comic book day happens. My wife's birthday happens. And, most importantly, Star Wars Day happens. For those that do not know, Star Wars Day falls on May 4th every year. Why? Because... "May the 4th be with you."

Only a slight lisp. In celebration of May the 4th, here is a list of the greatest things you could be doing to celebrate your love for Star Wars.

Star Wars Origins: bRiddickulous

Star Wars and its expanded universe have been a huge thing for a since the 70s. What George Lucas thought would be a colossal failure turned into one of the world's most revered franchises. Due to how large a footprint Star Wars left on popular culture, everyone can remember the first time they experienced it.

The Blog Awakens - Star Wars Predictions

The Blog Awakens - Star Wars Predictions

When "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" released 5 months ago, I was able to feel like I was a 6 year old again. What J.J. Abrams did to launch a new era of the franchise was also A New Hope for Star Wars fans everywhere. And now the digital release has come and gone, and the Blu-ray released today, as I write this.

I thought it would be appropriate to share my predictions for the trilogy to come as there are still so many things about this world that is unknown to us. We are going to go character by character and I am going to tell you exactly where each character is going to go.

It will definitely be fun to come back to this list once the whole of the trilogy is released...

Final Fantasy aka Eat Your Vegetables

Final Fantasy aka Eat Your Vegetables

I love video games. I have played video games since I was four years old on the Sega Genesis playing games like Aladdin and Jurassic Park. I have played on almost every console that has released since the Genesis and my favorite consoles have always been the Playstation and Nintendo consoles. Video games were my escape from a childhood of being picked on in schools, and moving around a number of times greater than the number of my own age.

Being immersed in gaming since 1993, some would most likely believe that Final Fantasy would have been a staple in my childhood. Surprise! I have never played a Final Fantasy game, that is, until Mike DeMarco re-launched Let's Play Podcast on the Nerdy Knight Network. However, I am getting ahead of myself.

The Best of DC Animated Movies

The Best of DC Animated Movies

Warner Brothers and DC Comics have been making movies and television shows for a long time. While Marvel has absolutely dominated the live action cinematic market, DC has a very special talent at creating the best, direct to Blu-ray, animated movies.

This is not just to say that DC is has a talent at making kid's movies. No... They make animated movies that catered towards a more adult audience. An audience that grew up with "Batman: The Animated Series," or "Justice League," two shows that are, arguably the best animated series in the '90s.

Fans tend to forget this in light of movie releases such as "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," but it is imperative to remember how much amazing work and effort goes in to creating the animated universe that DC has worked so hard to cultivate. Here are what I believe to be the top five animated movies fans should watch!

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Finale

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Finale

The second season of "Star Wars: Rebels" ended this week with quite the epic finale. The blossoming Rebel Alliance has a lot of big questions and many concerns on its mind in the wake of "Twilight of the Apprentice," questions that will be waiting until season three comes releases.

With an episode title like this, I believe we are going to talk about the different APPRENTICES seen in this episode.

I am going to warn you now.

SPOILERS ARE AHEAD!
