The elimination challenge takes the Cheftestants deep into the roots of Mayan cuisine as they much cook over an open flame with only their knives to fight their way into the finale.

This episode brings a challenge in a futball stadium where the Cheftestants need to get in touch with their inner goats as they get creative with goat inspired dishes with their Last Chance Kitchen winner, Brooke. The elimination challenge takes the Cheftestants on a wild ride with Patron tequila as they are challenged to create a dish with a cocktail pairing.
Peter and Sam discuss the eleventh episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Adios Charleston, Hello James Bear." This episode brings us the loved ones of our remaining Cheftestants in a quickfire that challenges them to not only come up with a dish but one that their partner behind a wall could replicate just by describing what to do. The elimination challenge is the ultimate adios to Charleston as the Cheftestants are asked to create a dish that is reminiscent of their experience in South Carolina.
Peter and Sam discuss the tenth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Shrimp Boats and Hat Ladies." This episode brings us back to the high seas with a high stakes quickfire where the Cheftestants needed to get creative with shrimp in a sudden death quickfire challenge. The second part of the quickfire had the bottom 3 going creating a dish out of the bycatch from the fresh shrimp nets. The elimination challenge brought out the creative side as the Cheftestants were challenged to make mash up inspired dishes to be served at brunch with many hat ladies.
Peter and Sam discuss the ninth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "For The Kids." This episode brings us back into the land of the hopeful as Emily has been sent packing (finally). The chefs had to endure the blind taste test challenge where they had to identify ingredients without sight. The elimination challenge brings us back to childhood memories and elevated versions of the foods the Cheftestants grew up with.
Peter and Sam discuss the eigth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Restaurant Wars." This episode brings us the oldest Top Chef tradition, 8 contestants, 2 restaurants, and a ton of drama. The chefs had a schoolyard pick leaving Emily as the one no one wanted but someone had to take. Unlike other years, they actually cooked on separate nights giving one team the advantage of planning.
Peter and Sam discuss the seventh episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Booty." Peter's faith in the food gods has been rocked so hard that we had to break down everything in this episode that was full of sudden death eliminations, complaints about getting lobster and truffles as ingredients, and the giving up of immunity. The quickfire was the Zodiac sign challenge splitting the cheftestants into their respective elements. The bottom three were in a sudden death elimination where they had to make Earth Sign food, which the cheftestants choose steak tartare as the recipe. The elimination challenge was a scavenger hunt across the city with teams of cheftestants presenting their separately.
Peter and Sam discuss the sixth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "A Southern Legend." This episode brings the Surgeon General to the show to get the chefs to make a healthy version of fatty comfort food and then brings us back to the roots of Edna Lewis and elevated southern cuisine. The quickfire has the chefs cooking vegetarian versions of American comfort food staples while running back and forth for their ingredients. The elimination challenge has the chefs cooking their version of a Southern dish that could be found in the Edna Lewis cookbook.
Peter and Sam discuss the fifth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Smoke 'em if you got 'em." This episode brings us the best of secret bicuits and whole hog cooking. The quickfire has the chefs in an empty kitchen without producers to find out they need to make biscuits (shocker, there are chefs there who haven't made biscuits before). The elimination challenge has the chefs pulling an all nighter in a team challenge for a plate of whole hog barbecue with the fixins.
Peter and Sam discuss the fourth episode of Top Chef Season 14, "Feast of the 7 Trash Fishes." This episode tests the chefs ability to create with ingredients that aren't commonly used. The quickfire is a challenge straight out of Chopped with melon ballers, pressure cookers and white chocolate pretzels that all need to be used. The elimination has the chefs pair off with a different "trash fish" that must be used in their dish.
